Febeau Government Primary School is located off Saddle Road, San Juan, approximately one kilometer north of the Croisée. The school was originally intended to be built on Laventille Road, Febeau Village. However, when no suitable site was found there, the Government of the day acquired land from Mrs. Ali in the Concord/Sunshine Avenue area, where the school proudly stands today.
The school officially opened its doors on April 24, 1960, with Mr. Jerome De Merieux serving as the first Principal and Mr. M. Maynard as Vice Principal. Designed to accommodate approximately six hundred pupils, the school drew students from both Febeau Village and the Concord/Sunshine Avenue communities.
Over the years, Febeau Government Primary has been led by a dedicated succession of principals:

Despite its location within an underprivileged area, Febeau Government Primary School has long stood as a beacon of education and community pride. The school has produced many outstanding pupils — including two Island Scholarship winners — and numerous past students who continue to contribute meaningfully to society, with some even returning to serve their alma mater.
The school maintains an active presence in cultural and sporting activities. Its steelband, the Febeau Pan Giants, has proudly represented the school in the Primary Schools’ Steelband Music Festival, achieving impressive placements in the finals:
1990 – 5th place
2001 – 3rd place
2003 – 2nd place
2012 – 2nd place
2016 – 4th place
2019 – 5th place
Since its inception, the Febeau Pan Giants have also performed at numerous community and national events, including graduations, weddings, and Christmas celebrations at the Brian Lara Promenade.
Academically, the school continues to excel, with many students earning places at prestige secondary schools and later advancing to the University of the West Indies and other international universities.
In keeping with its mission to foster holistic student development, the school also promotes agricultural education through its school garden, where students engage in cultivating short-term crops while learning valuable lessons about sustainability, teamwork, and responsibility.
